The Lair Jewellery Bokashi Beaded Necklace Red Carnelian

Designed and handcrafted in The Lair Studio, Newcastle, the Bokashi Beaded Necklace explores soft transitions and imperfect balance - its name drawn from the Japanese word for “blur” or “gradation.” Composed of a near half-half arrangement of Hematite and Red Carnelian, the strand plays with contrast while resisting symmetry. A scattering of Hematite beads drifts into the opposing side, creating a subtle, off-centre fade reminiscent of tonal Bokashi shading. Sitting close to the collarbone, the piece feels modern, grounded, and quietly expressive.
